Week 20: The non-abusive use of literally.

The most notable thing that happened this week was that I had (probably not my first) emotional preggo break down. Laden with emotions and pouting and otherwise ridiculous behavior.

So here it is:

Everything is good and normal. Kaio and I come home from church, eat some food, and relax on the bed (because relaxing on the couch is impossible and not worth our time). Then, Kaio whips out his phone to play Clash of Clans. BLECH. *start mini-rant* I can deal with video games. I spent countless hours of my childhood watching, not playing, various games. I'm more than used to it. Buuuuut, I do have my limits. There is an especially big difference between brothers playing and husbands playing (and missing quality time with their fun wife). *end rant*

I proposed to Kaio that he may have a problem and staged a tiny intervention during church to tell him how bad it had gotten. He couldn't even stop playing during any of the prayers in sacrament meeting. So back to the story: he is playing on his phone and I am determined to get him to do something, anything, else. Finally, he agreed to new activities as long as I got him some milk and cookies. NBD. Brought some back for the both of us.

As I got back in bed I somehow kicked my cup off my nightstand and got milk everywhere! Quickly, I realized that most of it landed on my laptop that was on its side next to my nightstand.... Plenty of access for all the milk to get into all the crevices!! AHHHHHHHH. I start panicking and wiping things off. It's not long before the water works show up. Kaio has been laughing the whole time! "Jess, it's okay" "Don't worry" "Stop using so many paper towels" "Your computer is fine"

The worst part of the whole overly-emotional pregnant response was that I knew - I knew - exactly what Kaio was going to say as soon as it happened. I knew I was going to cry and I knew he was going to make fun of me.

"JESS, YOU ARE LITERALLY CRYING OVER SPILLED MILK"

And all I could do was say I know but the world is going to end forever because I suck and I ruined all of these things and you should just lock me up because I can't handle cups or legs or cars or clothes or milk or anything in the whole world.

I became pretty inconsolable because this was my last device I hadn't ruined yet. My phone took a nasty spill while I was moving and trying to talk to Kaio on the phone (my bad for not using earphones or speaker phone). My tablet was accidentally left in a parking lot inside my wallet and got ran over. My computer was the last thing that hadn't been subject to the wrath of my pregnancy.

... But now that I've ruined all of my things there are only two options that await me:
1. My pregnancy has lost all of its destructive power.  At this point, I can only create! Life! Crafts! Shiny things!
2. My pregnancy is not satisfied. It is only hungry for more. Like Godzilla, it will seek out all sources of power and leave a path of destruction in its wake.

We will see.

Love this comic. It's too adorable. And super appropriate.

And a belly shot to subdue the Deids.

The chub. Still no bump. Gave up on jeans though.
